April was NOT easy and now May 2015 will be even busier.
First week I’ll be in Charleston, West Virginia (Region-3) presenting PIO/social media and crisis communications at the West Virginia Public Safety Exposition. Then I’ll head to southern Ohio (Region-5) to run an exercise on the importance of Incident Action Plans (IAPs) and SMART Objectives.
Second week I’ll head to Louisiana (Region-4) to pilot a brand new FEMA course then turnaround and return to Ohio (Region-5) to teach G-289: Public Information Officer Awareness class for Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA).
Third week I will head to Maryland (Region-3) and instruct at FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute. Whohoo!!!! Also hoping to catch up to a few friends at FEMA and DoS.
Fourth week, I’ll be headed to Atlanta, Georgia (Region-4) to teach at the National Flood Plain Managers’ Conference.
Sounds relaxing huh?
You know me, I was just excited that April’s Ohio EMA Director’s Conference went smoothly – well done OEMA Training and Exercise Branch!
As for today, I am looking forward to my tactical training with my friends from ICE.
Bang bang.
