Elyna Niles-Carnes
Elyna Niles-Carnes is a two-time Emmy award winning journalist with nearly 15 years of experience. Elyna most recently worked in Orlando at the ABC affiliate, WFTV, for the past six years. She was a tv producer and had the opportunity to produce newscasts, work with reporters and launch an hour-long 4 p.m. newscast. Elyna is currently a freelance producer for Good Morning America. She has been out in the field during the Jacksonville video game shooting and the arrest of the accused South Florida Bomber. Elyna is also a freelance producer for Law and Crime Network created by Dan Abrams.
Elyna has been out in the field where she covered the George Zimmerman trial, the RNC/DNC and most recently, the Pulse trial in which she was first on air with the “Not guilty” verdict. Elyna transitioned into a digital producer role where she honed her investigative skills using social media to track down suspects, find victims and help police in investigations.
Elyna grew up in a small town in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington. She’s lived in Illinois and Missouri before moving to Florida.
