Sergeant Jennifer Ciaccia

Cleveland Division of Police



Sergeant Jennifer Ciaccia was appointed to the Cleveland Division of Police in September of 1998.  After completing the Police Academy, she was assigned to the Third District on Basic Patrol.  Sergeant Ciaccia spent 13 years patrolling Cleveland’s east side with assignments in the Third, Fourth and Fifth Districts.  She also spent time in the Cops in Schools Program at East Tech High School, the Third District Detective Bureau and completed details in the Vice Unit and the Narcotics Unit.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Management from Cleveland State University.

Sergeant Ciaccia was assigned to the Public Affairs Office as a Detective in 2011.  She was promoted to Sergeant in 2015 and is now in charge of media relations for the Division of Police.  She has handled police media relations and community relations for major events including the 2016 Republican National Convention, the Castro investigation and major grand jury decisions in both the Patrol Officer Brelo and Tamir Rice cases.  Sergeant Ciaccia oversees the daily operations of the Public Affairs Office as well as the Division’s social media sites.
