As a All-Hazards Incident Management Team Plans Section Chief Instructor, I am often asked about the use of T-cards out in the field.

Furthermore, I am often asked how detailed they should be and what it’s really like in the field.
Lemme be very clear here: As a PSC, your details are super important!
Or else this!

Keep it real peeps and be known for solid plans.
Don’t let your plans fall through.

Saturday important thoughts.

My daughter was right – it’s important to look closely at things.
Taking a few moments to look up and enjoy the views.
Deep in the heart of the city, it’s great to find a moment of the shining sun and sunflower.

Maybe this is a sign.
Thank goodness it’s AlohaFriday! And I’m starting a few new things next week.
Me? I think I look like this.

But if you see me, I most likely look like this.

Big stuff coming up.
A multi-prong approach is most definitely the best way to serve.
And to make the biggest impact, I need to be more vertical. Everybody.
This time, let’s play by my rules.

Quit pondering. Just du it.
I think I know the answer.
Ahhh yes, August will be busy, but not.
First and second week I will be out of service (OOS)
Third week, will be in Region 5 as we will be discussing debris management.
Fourth and fifth week, popping that social media magic at the State of Mississippi and the State of South Carolina State Emergency Operations Center. Region 4 baby!

Likely a big announcement mid August so keep a keen eye open.
Yes, Fall is upon us so let’s get the mojo working!
Pretty sure I fell asleep waiting for the elevator today.

To quote Ray, I gotta get some sleep, I’m dying.”
Let’s discuss a few things…

While I appreciate that your steady hands are working, I doubt that you will be able to hold that steady shot for a long time.
Look at that crowd, think about the duration, the shot, the angle of viewing.
IMHO, I would suggest that maybe you get a tripod or a monopod.

In fact, many of the field PIOs use tripods/monopods for daily use.
And no, with my setup, you don’t even have to argue about vertical or horizontal.
