Our current communications challenges here give me as the FEMA Public Information Officer (PIO) very limited options on how to share the disaster response and recovery efforts. So being creative and thinking outside the box is critical.

By creating orig content and changing our operational tempo, I am able to move us from #response to #recovery for my AOR – Branch 1. Basically, I’ve shifted our PIO strategy and now we are in the driver’s seat.

Proud that FEMA is highlighting my AmeriCorps package…even more proud to share the work that is being done for all the survivors of the US Virgin Islands.
