After a long Monday, seems like having preplanned preparedness messaging WITH specific safety messages was important…esp w/ the 4.0 earthquake. Yep, that’s a 4.0 earthquake that just reminded NE Ohio – no one is immune.
So don’t forget to plan for these kinds of emergencies.
Obv, I did. You should too.
In the late afternoon, there were reports coming out from NYC of a helicopter crash. This kind of complex response allows Emergency Management to showcase their skills as a coordinating entity for our partners in public safety.
You see, long after the sexy response phase, we have the investigation w/ the NTSB. Then of course we have to move to recovery including the recovery of the wreckage. While easy when on the ground, MUCH more difficult when high atop a building in a dense metro area.
Just another reason Emergency Management does it all.
