Yesterday afternoon included a cancelled ICS-300 class. No problem.
However, in it’s place, I’ll be teaching somewhere I’ve never taught before.

I hope I can keep up.

Very true esp in Emergency Management and Emergency Services.
Don’t fake it, take the time to know your resources.
Know your resources, learn about your resources, embrace your resources, support all your resources, don’t play favorites, and then train/exercise with all your resources.
Your first hand knowledge of your resources will set you apart from other fake managers.
People look to you during an emergency or disaster.
Set the example and be the catalyst of something great within your community.
Seriously, don’t trust a #groundhog

January was busy and February is going to be stacked too!
In the first week, I’ll be back doing some fire-rescue work between Ohio and New Jersey.
Second week, I’ll be headed to Georgia to review a new instructor candidate (I hope he does well).
Third week, I’m back in Ohio coordinating and planning for upcoming events.
And the fourth week, I will be heading to Oklahoma for a symposium. Big bosses will be there and likely I will meet the new Director of Individual and Community Preparedness at DHS/FEMA. Suit up!
Maybe March will be more calm.
So the 2016 South Carolina Business Disaster Recovery Symposium went well yesterday.

Many thanks for the invite to present to all participants.
Super to see Emergency Management rockstar Allison Hardin again.

I truly enjoy working with people who are so dedicated to safety for their community.
No worries, I’ll post more about the symposium next week. But until then, enjoy your weekend.

Inhale…Exhale….Rinse…Repeat…

Hiya Allison!
Hope to see you for my presentation at 1100. #excited #socialmedia

Love to see public and private partnerships working together in disaster preparedness.
Brought my A-game to the big kids’ table today.

Trust me, not your typical SM presentation
What. Just. Happened.
Was it good? Did they like it?

Alohas from Texas!
Presentation was well received and hopefully (in the coming months) will be the catalyst for more.
Supporting good peeps is the magic behind a successful organization.
