California has working closely w/ the National Guard to provide support to wildland firefighters.

Here’s a C-130 retrofitted slightly differently to carry different payloads to support operations. This year’s wildfires are bad. Glad that many partners in public safety have trained and exercised closely together to prepare for such an occasion.

Working in consort, this all-hazards response is making a difference every day.

So support or join your local National Guard. You could be on the front lines!

So the truck is reportedly new (2013). This kinda stuff happens. Plus, being a brand new truck, all areas in district should have been tested for response. I am hoping for no injuries. Perhaps this is a good time for everyone who are getting new apparatus, to test ALL areas (including mutual aid areas) for response and height clearances. EVERYONE should review their routes in response areas and bridge height clearances.

USA Today interviewed the Yarnell Hill Incident Commander (IC) discusses the investigative report after the 19 Line of Duty Deaths (LODDs) from Prescott Fire.

Opinion: I don’t think this report exonerates his command team.

My recommendations: Proper training for all responders will help better understand ever-changing and very dangerous conditions on the scene.
