Yeah, I know…I’m jaw-some.
As we close out 2018 SharkWeek, the moral of the week is really to always be on the lookout for bad stuff in disasters.

Easy in peace time, disaster response is tougher than it seems esp when you have to stay ahead of mis-information or fake news. Your ability to operate ahead of the game and be the true voice of your agency will be critical in your success.
Let me say that again, your ability to be ahead of the game is critical to your success in an emergency or disaster.
How can you always remain ahead?
Keep it real my peeps….stay safe this weekend.
Always keep your wits about you!
Maintaining good situational awareness is critical for any professional. So to help illustrate this, I submit this Thursday gem.

I’d make some sharp joke about between two ferns…
I was out patrolling and arrested a street shark…you know, just some dorsal profiling…
No lie, he thought I was jawsome….
OK OK OK…I’m here all night!
Be safe my peeps and maintain good situational awareness!
It’s Wednesday – so on this fine hump day, I bring you this hump of a disaster…

The possibility of a sharks flying around in a tornado are incredibly rare.
Don’t be a bozo.
And for the second disaster trick, this picture….

IT AIN’T REAL!!!
Don’t be a dingbat, stop sharing this fake picture during disasters and/or flooding.
Aaaaaand yes, an easy twofer here too: TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!!!
Be a good steward of social media information.
Since it’s the start of 2018’s Shark Week, I wanted to share with you one of my more favorite shark pictures.

Again, this isn’t real.
Don’t be a chump, during disasters or flooding, stop sharing this picture.
