Bring it in External Affairs rally up!

As we rally up at the Federal Interim Operating Facility (IOF), our FEMA External Affairs contingent briefs with FEMA Rregion 5 External Affairs Mark Peterson.


In other words, this is basically us forming Voltron.

People in this picture will be immediately deployed across the State of Florida to integrate into Command positions as a part of the Federal response for Hurricane Irma (4337-FL). Not only PIOs, but we represent so many factions within External Affairs.

This is a Presidentially Declared Disaster so whisper me those magical two words – “Stafford Act”

Aww yeah boyeeeeee, bring it. EA in the house!

Just your typical afternoon spent on the Eisenhower.

Fire + Police + EMS working tirelessly to help those involved in a MVA

DYK: In 1956 President Eisenhower established the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 which allocated monies for the creation and development of our national highway system across our country?

Bonus points for those that learned this factoid from the TV show Big Bang Theory and the Sheldon GPS.

2016 World Series Game-7: Chicago Cubs vs Cleveland Indians.

Look, let’s keep it simple for the final game.


Let’s hope for a solid game from both teams – It’s been quite a series so may the best team win.

Indeed both teams are worthy of being crowned the 2016 World Series Champions.

Most importantly, I hope for all celebrations to remain calm and peaceful.

For the sake of all the public safety professionals working, celebrate responsibly.

And don’t forget to scream #GoTribe #Windians and #RallyTogether

One thing that bothers me is idiots who park in front of a hydrant.

Not like 30-seconds, but more like hours and hours and hours.

THIS IS A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR SAFETY!

So I called my friends at Chicago Fire Engine-35, Truck-28, Ambulance-62, Battalion-17 who advised that I call Chicago Police and inform them.

So I did. Chicago Police promptly showed up and ticketed the car. #booya

Hey Jagoff – enjoy your $150 ticket #0964100A (Within 15′ of fire hydrant).

Then a tow truck (hook) showed up and made my night because….

…I now have full hydrant access again.

Hey Jagoff! Now enjoy your $150 charge for towing your vehicle and $20 storage fee.

Expensive night out for your blatant disregard of public safety. Hope it was worth it.

Friendly reminder to anyone: Don’t park in front of fire hydrants. Ever.
